God, our Father, we give you praise;
male and female you created us ;
in you is the source of life, in you the secret of love.

We pray to bless all families on earth.
Bless all husbands and familyfathers,
in the image of Saint Joseph, righteous man and loyal servant.
Bless all wives and mothers,
in the image of Mary, handmaid of the Lord, Mother of pure Love.
Bless all children, small and tall,
in the image of the Infant Jesus,
who advanced in wisdom and age and favor
before God and men.

Lord Jesus, well-beloved Son of the Father, we give you praise;
you have loved the Church and you have given your life for her,
in an irrevocable alliance.

Look upon the spouses of whom you have sanctified the marriage.
That they may be truthful to the given word and the sacrament of marriage,
in the joy of loving forever,
capable to be open to forgiveness,
when they have been hurt or hurtful.

Remember the divided couples,
the separated or divorced spouses,
the children who are suffering and revolting.
To each of them, grant your peace.
You, the Resurrected, we ask you for the healing of in their heart.
May their cross, united to yours, be fruitful.

Holy Spirit, Spirit of the Father and the Son, we give you praise;
in you we are granted the joy that Jesus promised.

Reveal to all men and women of these times
the beauty and the sanctity of the calling of spouse and parent.
Guide the couples to an alliance which is more and more sincere and profound.
Confirm the Yes of the ones who are married in the Lord.

O Mary, full of God s grace,
Convey him our prayer.
You, our Mother, Our Lady of the Covenant,
grant us to believe, as well in the joy of being together
as in the suffering of loneliness, separation, divorce or widowhood,
that love is stronger than death,
and that one day we may be one undivided family
in the joy of God.
